The orchestra includes two excellent soloists. Violinist Adéla Vondráčková from the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Vratislav Vlna, solo oboist of the National Theatre Orchestra, have performed at concerts in Kostel sv. Mikuláše for more than twenty-five years. Their experience, musical sensitivity and professional quality give every performance a special character.

Music Full of Memories and Feelings

The eight-member orchestra performs throughout the concert directly in front of the audience. From close by, you can watch the musicians communicate, follow the movements of the violinists and see how the sound of each instrument becomes part of the orchestra.

The programme constantly changes its sound and character. At one moment, the full orchestra fills the church with energy. Then the solo violin comes forward with its bright and emotional sound, while the gentle oboe brings a softer and more intimate colour. In Bach’s Concerto in D Minor, violin and oboe meet as two different solo voices supported by the orchestra.

Thanks to the exceptional acoustics of Kostel sv. Mikuláše on the Old Town Square in Prague, the orchestra, violin and oboe blend naturally and fill the baroque interior. Classical works, lively jazz and familiar film melodies create a musical journey in which almost everyone can find something that speaks to their memories, feelings and emotions.
