From the large pipe organ to the orchestra in front of the audience

The concert begins with the sound of the large pipe organ, located high above the audience on the main organ balcony. Thanks to the excellent acoustics, its powerful sound fills the whole Baroque interior of the church.

The focus then moves to the musicians performing downstairs, directly in front of the audience. You can watch the string orchestra, soprano and trumpet player from close by. The programme moves between the energetic sound of the orchestra, gentle vocal passages and the bright sound of the trumpet.

At the end, the classical programme naturally changes into famous Christmas carols and songs. The contrast between the majestic organ, orchestra, voice and trumpet, together with the Christmas repertoire, creates a varied musical experience in the atmosphere of Old Prague.

Thanks to the exceptional acoustics and unique design of the church, every part of the programme sounds different. The majestic organ, bright trumpet, gentle soprano and warm sound of the strings allow you to experience the acoustics of the church through different styles of music.
